Yaka was the perfect dive shop for us-- it was professional, organized, and yet still had a laid-back family feeling. Groups were small, usually two groups going out on one boat to keep number small and they did a detailed briefing with you before going out on the boat. They also took care of everything and would set up and take down your gear. Since dive sites are close they offer dives at 8 am, 10 am, and 2 pm and will schedule you for two of them. My wife and I dived here in september 2022. This was one of most profesional shops and staff we have ever dived with. We never were with a group of more than 4 divers, and in some cases it was just us and the guide. They gave very thorough brieffings of diving the pass to make sure we knew every stage of the dive and what to expect. They even made sure to do the briefing in both english and french so we all understood the plan (which we very much appreciated being the only english speakers a few of the days). I recently planned a last-minute trip to Rangiroa, and I was blown away by the exceptional service from start to finish. From Marie-Ange in the reservations team to my dive master Romain, everyone went above and beyond to make my trip seamless and enjoyable. Romain was particularly outstanding - his extensive knowledge and passion for marine life made our dives truly unforgettable.
