We spent a night here as a stopover on the return from family holidays in the south west of France. The children were delighted with the old style wooden caravan; the parents were pleased with the comfort of the interior and the modernity of the equipement!||||Set up in the middle of a riding centre, with horses and donkeys all around, this holiday centre has maybe 50 oversized "caravans", built for purpose ie I don't imagine these caravans have ever really been mobile! But the impression is charming: wood exterior with ornate windows and shutters; wooden interior with quality furnishings and textiles. At 18m2 I'd guess it is maybe 50% larger than the traditional caravan it is set up to resemble, and the comfort of the extra space is appreciable. I'm not sure I'd want to spend a whole week with the whole family in one of these things, it would probably start feeling on the small side after a while, but a for a few nights it's lovely.||||The beds (2 singles and 1 double) are comfortable. The bathroom (sink, shower, toilet) is of course small but modern and comfortable, with plenty of hot water and no water pressure problems. The kitchenette (sink, half-height fridge, a 2-ring electric stovetop) was adequate, with a good range of pots, pans, cuttlery, crockery, etc. and even a kettle and a drip coffee maker.||||You are provided with a couple of deck chairs to relax out on the porch. There's a picnic table next to the caravan, and there are barbecue facilities on the grounds. ||||There is a communal bar/reading/games room with air conditioning which is nice when it's hot out - the caravan gets quite warm inside during the hot weather, even with all the windows open. ||||Staff were friendly and helpful. And the whole place has a quality feel to it that I think I wasn't really...

Read moreI stayed here with the family for one night only en route to the south of France and it is a most unusual arrangement of 'gypsy caravans' in a large circle with recreation facilities in the centre. The caravan was well equipped with cooking facilities and a refrigerator as well as utensils and plates/glasses etc.||||Though not large inside there was enough room for my wife, three kids and I to get a good night's sleep and the beds were very comfortable, and there was no noise whatsoever to disturb our sleep. There was a double bed (raised up, accessed by a couple of steps) and two singles that double as comfy seats in the day. Overall the kids loved the arrangement.||||All was great until we went to check out in the morning ahead of a 6 hour drive to be told that we couldn't leave until an inspection of the caravan had taken place. During the inspection my wife was told that she must also wipe and put away the washing up that she had done, and sweep up and strip the beds. I was visibly taken aback by this and was told that we could pay a 'cleaning charge' and not worry! I was told that this is normal for this type of property, but it did not say anything about it during the booking process or at check-in so was a bit of a surprise!||||Having said all that I would still give it 5 stars as it was lovely, and we will surely be back when we are passing. We will just allow extra time in the morning for the inspection and be sure to leave the...
