A nice location for a short summer hike in the Jura mountains. Full panoramic view of Lake Geneva from the Jet d’Eau to Lausanne. La Dôle has wonderful scenic hiking trails and a unique above-the-tree line landscape strewn with rocks, boulders, and alpine meadows with flowers where cows graze in non-winter months. In winter you can get up here by teleski and télésiége. In summer you have to walk up. There are a number of paths you can take. Either you can follow the paths and ski pistes on the St Cergue side or you can go up from La Barillette along a number of foot paths. Some routes are less undulating...
