Lovely site. My first time and it wont be my last. From the moment we arrived and drove down the entrance it set the tone. The grass was nicely cut and al the shrubs manicured. Even though we arrive later than reception, the lady was still there and checked us in and told us about the site. We picked our own pitch. All were large enough to fit our RV, trailer and car on and still have plenty of room for sitting out. Pitches in shade and some in full sun (or inbetween) - suit yourself. Everywhere was very clean and tidy. The pool was heated and again very clean. The snack bar is good and they do a mean pizza! We were going to try the restaurant but kept forgetting to book so never made it but others we spoke to said it as very good. It certainly looked reasonably priced. My husband had a go in the gym and there was enough equipment to keep him happy!! Lots to see and do within the locality - my favourites, the old city at St Malo and Dinan. Food shopping very easy with Combourg having a Lidl, and Intermarch and a Hyper U all within 10 mins drive. .Alot from Jersey seem to use this site being so close. There was a meeting of their Caravan and Camping club going on whilst we were there. I used the laundry and it was the first time I had to do it via an app but it was so easy. My selection cost 6 euros and the machines appeared very new and everything came out spotless. You dont even have to add your own powder! Loved my stay. in June using ACSi the price was under 25 euros for a fully serviced pitch which I thought was decent value. Very quiet at...
Read moreI will say I did have apprehensions after well receiving the typical 'No' reply after booking this site (I asked for recommendations of places to stay or well the nearest towns etc as we had one day to spare before check-in there are lots of town close by Combourg for one but we shall put it down to staff being overworked) but on arrival the place is truly just fantastic.. We went for a family break two kids 5-7 and it was everything we needed. Great layout to the sites, mobiles are not jammed on top of each other, the entertainment area where the pool is works great if you have kids it is in a courtyard so you can see them all the time. Wonderful walking areas, plenty of free sports, the pool is small but great for just messing about, I was worried about mossies as there is a lake there but got one or two bites that was it (bring mossie curtains if you have them). Restaurant is great for adults not so much for kids just the selection is not great, even for adults they could expand it a little. Staff are so friendly Nicole is a fantastic manger and the team with her work so well. I hope with the change over of ownership to Marvilla Parks it will not destroy what a magical place this is.. My only gripe and I am sorry but travelers from the UK please do not let yer kids run riot and Dutch travelers, it was actually horrible to see how some parents just let their kids break trampolines, chess pieces, items that were supposed to be for all were left broken, games rooms broken so other kids could not use them a complete lack of respect which is so...
Read moreOK so let’s put the record straight and stop this character assassination of poor Precilia. I write this during our stay which we booked through the Caravan & Motorhome Club. The site is delightful. It is clean, well laid out with spacious pitches separated by shrubs. The pool area is amazing with plenty of thought given to children, bouncy castles, trampolines etc and if wet, table tennis, pool, games machines oh yes and a huge crazy golf plus a cycle track. There is a bar, restaurant indeed it ticks every box. For me the only negative is that I don’t like joint showers/toilets and there could be more of them. The site is very quiet now and in high season I think there could be queues. The staff without exception are excellent, warm friendly and helpful. Some of the clients, British of course are stupid. We encountered a party of not youngsters but in their 60s who were loud and coarse and took exception to being told that glasses were not allowed in the pool area nor is diving into a 5 foot deep pool. I am sure these are the sort of people who would take to Trip Advisor damning the manager. I asked a staff member about these anti Precilia postings. She said “ people can be so unfair, we have had a long tiring season and like most places difficulty getting enough staff. Precilia is an excellent manager and cares about the guests and the staff.”|From what I can see she does and if she takes to task stupid selfish people who put others at risk and spoil their enjoyment, good for her.|It’s a lovely spot and I’m glad...
