Excellent service, antique elegant, quiet, peaceful and such good food.

This hotel is a fine chateau situated in the countryside. It takes a bit of a ride over small winding roads in a beautiful countryside to get there, but it is worth it.

The castle has an old and a new part. The old part has no lift but the rooms have good air conditioning. The new part has a lift but no air conditioning. The building feels a bit worn down. The wifi in our room didn't work practically at all, the lock of our room didn't work. But all these little practical issues are largely compensated by the extraordinary friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. The lock was changed the next day. We stayed in the old part of the castle. Our rooms was nicely decorated, with nice antique furniture and a comfortable king size bed. When we stayed in the hotel it was really really hot outside and the airco just worked fine.

The hotel is in a big park, with loads of old trees and a few terraces. On the lower terrace there is a swimming pool, up to date and with all the modern safety precautions. Dressing rooms are "tired". The surroundings are so quiet. You can hear the birds sing, no traffic, no plains no nothing. So relaxing that it feels disorientating. Really relaxing.

The breakfast is well varied. We especially liked the fruit salad and the scrambled eggs. You rarely get them thus good in hotels. And this brings me to THE top-advantage of this hotel: the kitchen. They have a cook who's food brought us to heaven. His food is creative, refined, has excellent surprising combinations of tastes. Try the surprise gastronomic dinner they offer.

With good weather they offer dinner outside on a beautiful terrasse in a nice little French garden. They are excellent in keeping the mosquitos away.

In conclusion: the staff in this hotel really makes you feel welcome and well taken care off. The management could invest a bit more in upkeeping the hotel. It is stylish, antique-elegant, quiet and peaceful. The ideal place to de-stress and enjoy the excellent kitchen. The old part of the castle has lots of genuine antique features… more than what can be said about many castles of the Loire. Don't go to this hotel if you are looking for a modern, slick and top...

My wife and I visited here towards the end of a 3000 mile drive through Europe. We stayed here for two days, spending one visiting one of the amazing chateaus in the area and shopping for some wine. The Chateau de Beauvois is a beautiful place, close to Tours and many of the delights of the Loire valley. The spread at breakfast is huge, with a wide selection of choices from nice fruit, hot food and near perfect croissants. Romain, who was the staff member who we dealt with beforehand couldn’t have been more helpful. He came up with a great itinerary for our exploring day and also moved our dinner reservation when we were running late. The restaurant is fancy and fairly expensive, and if you like that type of food worth it. The wine selection is also comprehensive. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom fine, if a bit dated, the fittings were a bit clunky in ours. The views from the window were nice, we’d upgraded to a superior room so we could have a bigger bed, which is helpful given I’m large. It appears to be popular with American tourists, which meant that they weren’t phased when I wore flip flops to dinner. Auf unserer Rückreise aus der Bretagne haben wir 3 Nächte vom 01. - 04. Juli 2019 in diesem Haus verbracht. Leider können wir kein Loblied auf dieses Haus anstimmen.||||Von aussen wirkt das Haus herrschaftlich. Die Räume im Bereich der Rezeption vermittelt durchaus Chateaux Flair. Die Terrasse des Restaurants ist wunderbar über dem Schlossgarten gelegen.||||Leider ist dann aber ziemlich schnell Schluss mit den positiven Eindrücken. Das Personal funktioniert und ist durchaus sympathisch. Die Arbeit wurde gemacht aber ohne Herzblut. Das Haus lebt nicht wirklich. Führungspersonal haben wir nicht gesehen.||||Zudem kommen viele Mängel dazu. Wir bewohnten ein Chambre De Luxe. Das Zimmer war OK, mehr aber nicht. Die Schallisolation war mehr aus dürftig. Jedes Stühlerücken im Restaurant war überlaut zu hören. Aus den anderen Zimmer kamen insbesondere aus dem Sanitärbereich unangenehme Geräusche. Die Ausstattung der Nasszelle war sehr bescheiden. Ausser Shampoo und Duschgel und einer Seife gab es nichts. Etwas sehr mager für diese Hotelkategorie. Das haben wir moniert und es hiess man müsse weitere Produkte an der Rezeption verlangen. Der Grund war klar. Das Haus ist übermässig mit Gruppen belegt und man will weitere Produkte nur dem Individualtouristen zur Verfügung stellen. Nur müsste das kommuniziert oder die betreffenden Zimmer entsprechend bestückt werden. Die Gruppen sind sonst auch ein Übel und machen das Hotel wenig attraktiv für Individualreisende. So wird man z. B. gebeten erst um 20:00 Uhr zum Nachtessen zu erscheinen, damit die Gruppen vorgängig verpflegt werden können.||||Mit dem Restaurant ist es so eine Sache. Die Küche ist bemüht und hat sicher Ambitionen. Leider wird vieles mit zu vielen Gerüchen und noch mehr Saucen zugedeckt. Man ist faktisch auf das Restaurant angewiesen, da man einige Kilometer fahren muss um ein Restaurant zu erreichen. Es wäre also schön wenn das Angebot stimmen würde.||||Der Service war an den ersten zwei Abenden sehr gut. Da waren zwei Damen, die wussten wie Service funktioniert. Der dritte Abend war dann eine Katastrophe. Da waren zwei Damen, die ziellos herumirrten und von Service aber keine Ahnung hatten. Da wurde falsch aufgedeckt, Weinflaschen entkorkt und einfach auf den Tisch gestellt. Eine Dame servierte mit offenen Haaren. Resultat wir hatten dann Haare von ihr auf dem Tisch.||||Die 48-Stündige Kaffeetasse. Am ersten Abend hat ein Gast im Garten vor dem Restaurant ein Kaffee getrunken. Für die Tasse fühlte sich dann offenbar niemand zuständig. Diese stand über 48 Stunden auf dem tisch ohne dass sie abgeräumt wurde.||||Der Pool wäre eigentlich schön, wenn der Service entsprechend wäre. Er ist einfach inexistent. An Einrichtung ist alles vorhanden. Von einer Bar/Kiosk (geschlossen), genügen Sitzgelegenheiten, Liegestühle. Nur fehlen Auflagen für die Liegestühle. Auf entsprechendes Verlangen hiess es "gibt es nicht". Einige Auflagen waren für spezielle Sitzgelegenheiten vorhanden. Diese wollte man aber nicht wirklich benutzen. Sie waren schmutzig. ||||Dies alles und mehr haben wir direkt im Hotel kommuniziert. Ob es angekommen ist - fraglich.||||Fazit: Als Individualtourist dieses...
