Stopped by on a chilly February day. Rang the bell outside Pierre’s house - he asked us sit down and join him in his kitchen to taste his wine - spectacular! The wine maker, the wine, the caves - all of it. The highlight of all of our tastings! We were headed to La Rochelle to see our new boat and Pierre’s is the one we selected to celebrate with 🥂🫶🏼 We now have it on our map to buy more when we sail to Martinique. We pulled in as Pierre was digging a hole to plant a banana tree. He put down his shovel and welcomed us warmly. He sat with us at the table and poured us several glasses from different bottles of wine he produced while chatting about life. He then gave us a tour of the limestone caves behind the house carved out by his great great grandfather and showed us around his beautiful property. A fantastic experience all around.
