Brünnchen Parking Lot — Local services in Adenau

The famous "YouTube Corner" parking lot with access to watch cars ripping around the Nurburgring. There is no charge for parking, and there is plenty of space. The lot itself is filled with amazing cars, and you're likely to see cars that have just come from the Ring. There are many large benches and areas to stand, and we saw many people with camping chairs just enjoying watching the cars race by. Das Brünnchen ist wohl der bekannteste Teil der Nordschleife und für viele Kult. Mit einem großen Parkplatz und einem zusätzlichen Parkplatz auf der gegenüberliegenden Straßenseite, verfügt dieser Abschnitt über die größte Parkfläche rund um die Nordschleife. Während der Saison sind dort zwei Imbissbuden geöffnet, an denen man die gängigen Dinge wie Currywurst, Pommes, Softdrinks, Kaffee, Eis, usw. erwerben kann. Die Preise sind für Veranstaltungspreise recht normal. Vom Brünnchen aus kann man über teils gut ausgebaute Wege in Richtung Karussell (entgegen der Fahrtrichtung) viele schöne Streckenabschnitte erreichen. Auch in Fahrtrichtung gelangt man relativ schnell zu weiteren interessanten Abschnitten wie den Bereich Pflanzgarten. Festes Schuhwerk und Campingstuhl sind empfehlenswert!

Zum Parken gibt es allerdings auch einen Kritikpunkt: Während Veranstaltungen wie dem 24h Rennen und der VLN(ab 2020 NLS) sind beide Parkplätze geöffnet und es wird eine Parkgebühr verlangt. Gerade bei der VLN möchten sich einige die Parkgebühr sparen und stellen ihr Fahrzeug auf die Straße. Dies erzeugt oftmals lange Staus und versperrt Rettungswege!* Selbst bei Gebühren von 10€ geht der Preis in Ordnung**, da der Eintritt um die Nordschleife nach wie vor kostenlos ist! Somit kann der Fan für 10€ von 08:30-16:00 (beim 6h Rennen sogar bis 18:00) Motorsport hautnah erleben und wenn man nicht alleine ist, kann man sich die Kosten sogar noch teilen.

*Falls ihr euch also die Parkgebühr sparen wollt: Die Nordschleife ist lang und es gibt nicht nur das Brünnchen oder den Pflanzgarten! An vielen Abschnitten gibt es auch Parkmöglichkeiten wo keine Gebühr erhoben wird.
