Orchard Müller Farm Shop and Pick-your-own Apples — Local services in Altlandsberg

This farm stand is adorable! In late fall, their tiny store sells many types of apples at a great price, as well as local honey, some meats, and a small selection of veggies. It was like visiting a farmer's market, but with much better prices. The grounds are also beautiful and well decorated. You can also chop down your own Christmas tree and regardless of size, all are only 22€! It was already past pick-your-own-apples season, but I will definitely be back next year during the early fall to stroll through the orchards and pick my own. Not quite the US experience of picking apples in an orchard- the trees are espaliered in rows instead of free standing. But it is the best place in Berlin for picking apples and the kids always have a blast. They have a nice selection of different apple varieties and recently completed their organic certification. There is a playground for the kids, complete with tractor and straw, as well as bathrooms and a small farm store. Pack a picnic and spend a nice morning or afternoon with the kids- and come home with more apples than you know...

Obstgut Müller – ein echtes Highlight, egal ob mit Kindern oder ohne. Wir haben den perfekten Tag erwischt: Die Sonne schien, es war warm, fast schon zu warm, um über die Felder zu jagen – aber das war uns egal. Mit drei Kindern im Schlepptau waren wir bereit für Abenteuer, und die haben wir definitiv bekommen.

Die Apfelbäume hingen voll mit saftigen Früchten und wir haben nicht nur gepflückt, sondern auch gelernt: So viele verschiedene Apfelsorten! Und Leute, mal ehrlich, wer von uns weiß noch, wie Äpfel wirklich schmecken? Diese hier waren ein Traum – knackig, frisch, wie aus einem Werbespot. Ich krieg’s nicht mehr ganz zusammen, aber ich glaube, es waren um die 2,60 Euro pro Kilo nach dem Pflücken. Eintritt? Fehlanzeige, das gibt’s nicht.

Die Kids hatten Riesenspaß und ganz ehrlich, auch wir Erwachsenen haben’s genossen. Neben der Apfel-Action gab's noch einen süßen Hofladen, der fast alles bietet, was das Herz begehrt. Und nicht zu vergessen: Tiere zum Streicheln! Perfekter Abschluss für einen rundum gelungenen Tag.
