Amazing 360 degree view from the peak! Mountains and valleys all around you! Lets say it would take you almost 2 hours to hike to the peak from the foot of the mountain because we were actually hiking to Taubenstein which is just beside this mountain and decided to take on another peak as we still had time to kill so we took the highest point around Spitzingsee which is Rotwand. Hike was easy and beginner friendly, when you reach the intersection almost at the end of the hike… Rotwand is the one to your left and Taubenstein is the one to your right. The trail to Rotwand from here on were mostly stairs. The mountain peak is more wide and flat which means there is more space to seat on and hang out compared to Taubenstein which has a rocky and narrow peak. Die Rotwand ist ein beeindruckender Berg im Mangfallgebirge und ein beliebtes Ziel für Wanderer. Mit ihren 1884 Metern ist sie der höchste Gipfel im Landkreis Miesbach. Hier sind ein paar interessante Fakten: Lage: Die Rotwand liegt in der Gemeinde Bayrischzell und ist Teil der Schlierseer Berge. Wanderungen: Es gibt zahlreiche Wanderwege, die zur Rotwand führen. Für jeden Anspruch ist etwas dabei – von gemütlichen Spaziergängen bis hin zu anspruchsvollen Klettertouren. Aussicht: Vom Gipfel aus hast du einen atemberaubenden Panoramablick auf die umliegende Bergwelt, darunter den Spitzingsee und die Alpenkette. Die Wamdrung auf die Rotwand war schön. Der Weg war einfach und gut zu gehen. Gestartet sind wir am Spitzingsee. Der Weg ist recht gut ausgeschildert. Oben gibt es das Rotwandhaus was die meiste Zeit des Jahres geöffnet hat. Es gibt Rabatte für DAV Mitglieder. Von der Hütte aus geht man ca. 30 min auf den Gipfel. Im März lag noch recht viel Schnee es empfiehlt sich "Gröteln" mitzunehmen. Die Aussicht ist grandios. Ich habe einen Stern abgezogen da der gesamte Weg bis zu Hütte eine Teer /Schotterstraße ist und kein schöner Waldweg. Theoretisch kann man einen Kinderwaagen hochschieben, wobei die Anstiege teils sehr steil sind. Eine schöne Wanderung war es dennoch.
