Blaueis — Local services in Ramsau bei Berchtesgaden

After enjoying a meal and a drink at the Blaueishütte, we continued up towards the Blaueis glacier. The trail changes character here: it’s no longer a forest path but more rocky alpine terrain. It’s not a technical climb, but it does require some care on the rocks, and I would describe it as a medium difficulty hike. Good shoes and a bit of mountain experience are definitely helpful.

It takes around an hour to reach the glacier, and although much of the ice has disappeared, the views are absolutely stunning. Standing there, surrounded by rugged peaks and looking back down into the valley, you really feel the magic of the mountains. It’s the kind of place that makes you stop, breathe, and take it all in.

Der Eindruck den man auf dem Weg da hoch bekommt ist athemberaubend. Es ist einfach gigantisch was die Natur dort geschaffen hat. Man kann es nicht richtig beschreiben, man muss es gesehen und erlebt haben. Leider ist nicht mehr all zuviel von Gletscher zu sehen da er Jahr für Jahr immer mehr an Größe verliert. Der Anstieg geht von der Blaueishütte aus weiter nach oben, ca 40 Minuten über sehr Felsiges Gelände und steil bergauf. Daher ist festes Schuhwerk und...

Hiermit verbindet sich für viele Kletterer vermutlich gleich die Blaueisumrahmung.

Sehr schöne alpine Tour, nur an den Ständen mit AV-Ring abgesichert und auch ziemlich lange, sofern man die komplette Tour macht.

Vom Gletscher ist leider nur noch ein verschwindender kleiner Rest übrig, welcher in ein paar Jahren wohl gänzlich verschwunden...
