Die Quelle des kleinen Gillbachs befindet sich in Auenheim (Bergheim) und wird dort vom Kühlwasser des Kraftwerks Niederaußem gespeist. In Neuss-Weckhoven, wo ich war, mündet er schließlich in die Erft. Leider gibt es keine Guppys mehr in der Gillbach, das Wasser ist einfach zu kalt. Da ihr natürlicher Lebensraum in den Tropen liegt, sind Guppys warmes Wasser gewöhnt. Auch ich habe sie als Kind immer gefangen.

Meine Urgroßmutter lebte am Gillbach in Gill bei Rommerskirchen. Dieser wird durch das Kühlturmwasser eines Kraftwerkes gespeist. Das bedeutete im Winter dampfte das Wasser und vor allem Guppys konnte man fangen.

Das alles ist ein wunderbarer Teil meiner Kindheit. Und etwas was mich tief...

Ich war heute mal wieder am Gillbach, jedoch bemerkt das das Wasser nicht mehr warm ist. Ebenfalls direkt am Warmwasser Einlass des Kraftwerks ist das Wasser kalt. Von guppys und Co keine Spur ?

Weiß jemand mehr? Würde mich sehr...
