Fantastic views of the Rheinland from the viewing point at the top. It's a hard walk up to the top from visitors centre at the bottom but there are plenty of benches to stop for a rest and options to take the path through the woods for some shade on sunny days. Eine sehr schöne Anlage und heute, am Tag unseres Besuchs unter der Woche war nichts los und wir konnten das Wetter genießen. Der Aufstieg zum ca. 800m hohen Erbeskopf ist für zwei Schreibtischtäter wie uns schon sehr knackig gewesen. Aber hey, alle paar 100m steht ne bank, also....

Der Aufstieg läuft in Mitten der Ski- und Sommerrodelschneise, die leider nur am Wochenende geöffnet hat. An der "Talstation" , wo auch der Parkplatz liegt, gibt es eine Art Cafe, in dem es Getränke, Kuchen und möglicherweise auch Snacks gibt, da hab ich nicht drauf geachtet. Das ganze ist an ein Museum mit Aussenbereich angeschlossen, welches wir nicht besucht haben.

Fazit: Die Anlage ist mit einem sehr tollen und grossen Spielplatz, dem "Bistro", Museum, den schönen wegen rund um den Erbeskopf einen Ausflug wert.

Funfact: wenn man an der Gipfelgallerie ankommt und auf die vordere Brüstung zuläuft, steht dort, dass dieser Punkt, mit einer beeindruckenden Sicht in die Ferne, ein offizieller Punkt zur Trauung von Paaren des Standesamtes ist.... Witzig und wer's gut findet, ziemlich...
