Die Wanderung auf den Gipfel des Wertacher Hörnle ist recht einfach und vom Parkplatz Obergschwend in unter 2 Stunden machbar. Da die Wege zu einem großen Teil breit und geteert sind, eignet sich die Wanderung auch wunderbar zum Sonnenaufgang. Vom Gipfel hat man einen herrlichen Blick auf die umliegenden Berge. Vor 8 Uhr ist auch das Parken kostenlos. Wer im Dunkeln hinauf oder hinab steigt, sollte allerdings eine Taschenlampe mitnehmen.

Von Obergschwend (Parkplatz-Gebühr: 3€ für 3h und 4€ für den ganzen Tag) aus ist das Wertacher Hörne bei normalem Tempo in 1,5h zu erreichen. Der Weg führt vorbei an der Buchelhütte (ganzjährig geöffnet: Ruhetage auf Homepage). Unterhalb des "Gipfels" (kein Gipfelkreuz!!) liegt der Hörnlesee in einer Art Krater. Sehr zu empfehlen, nicht überrannt, schöne Aussicht und durch Alpenrosen und See sehr schöner Gipfel.

Aktuell auch gut ohne Schneeschuhe erreichbar. Stand Ende Februar. Auf dem Weg kommt eine bewirtete Alpe. Bei schönem Wetter stark besucht. Viele Rodler auf dem unteren Drittel.

This is a beautiful Alpine mountainous in Allgäu. This is an intermediate level trek in the Bavaria region of South Germany. The climb up is quite steep but doable for people who have a fair amount of strength in their legs. The view from the top is breathtaking. This is surely a place to hike and you will love it. You can do it with your family or a group of hikers. So, it's recommended for all. Enjoy the views of the lowlands of Allgäu, snow covered Alps in the distance, fresh air and splendid...
