Tatoi Forest — Local services in Municipality of Acharnes

A big area in the woods which includes the old royal residence of the king of Greece. Despite the buildings are abandoned the have an interesting magic. You can admire churches and houses in the middle of the forest and you will find the graves of the royal family. There are a lot of trails to follow but there are no signs to guide you. You never know where the trails end. But if you find a sunny day a walk in the area it's a "must" even...

An amazing place to get away, scenic and breathtaking, most trails are clearly marked and they vary, from easy dirt roads to goat paths, the blue trail is quite challenging.... A decent distance from Athens if you drive and some points accessible by public transport..
