Farmamoo — Local services in Municipality of Marathonas

This is perfect for a Saturday or Sunday family/kids day out or for space to host an outdoors kid's party. Nice scenic drive through the mountain to get there. When you arrive it's a tidy, spacious, fun, kid friendly farm environment with clean and approachable farm animals and lovely staff (they sometimes roam the farm on their own -the animals not the staff). There are guided kids activities that help them learn about nature and sustainable living (gardening, pottery, feeding the animals, dance and kids theatre and many more) and all is included in the reasonable entrance fee. Everything is outdoors. The only very small indoor space is the small restaurant area, which of course has a lot more seating outside. We arrived at 11 and left at 6. In hindsight we could have arrived earlier as there were more activities available. Ideal if you have company (multiple kiddies roaming around, scaring the ponnies). Decent playground, at least 4 large trampolines, at least 2 sand pits with scattered toys and a lovely green space for ball games. All activities are guided by warm, friendly, calm people and the trampolines are always supervised. They take card payments for the tickets and the food, there is plenty of parking and the toilet facilities are clean with a few areas to wash up outdoors between activities. And there is always staff everywhere to help. Overall it was a lovely experience and felt well structured and organised. Here are the only 2 not so good things that held me back from a 5 star review; 1 - the food and menu is just ok (neither great nor bar) and also limited in terms of selection, but still kid friendly. 2 - their policy states that you cannot bring your own food (although I think you could arrange catering if you were hosting a party -not entirely sure on that one. Check it). All in all a very safe, energetic, clean and fun day out for a family in the spring, summer and autumn. Not sure about the winter...

Loved the place! Updating my review as we visited again and loved it again! The space is very large and gorgeous, even though the surrounding area has been affected by fires recently. They do a great job in expanding with new activities and new designated areas. Everything is so well taken care of!

Clean, trash cans are plenty, toilets were exceptionally clean, staff replacing trash bags, staff actively around, loved all the structures and landscape, the details, the various signs and posters around were made with love and purpose, everything is in great shape, inviting. I also loved the educational aspect and staff involvement in activities, the love is there. Entry of €10 per person (originally I thought it could be lowered for the little ones) but it is very reasonable for what the place offers, and a whole day is easily spent! Food was great, lots of options and no wait time (Saturday & Sunday). The people are friendly, polite and pleasant! Keep up the good work and don’t get discouraged by negativity, keep everything in good care, vibrant and clean to showcase the love! We need lovely places...
