Ακατοίκητο νησί με εγκαταστάσεις στρατηγικής σημασίας για την Ελλάδα. Η Ρεθυθούσα, μαζί με τους αντίστοιχους Σταθμούς στην Κόρινθο και στην Αλεξανδρούπολη, καθιερώνει την Ελλάδα, ως βασική πύλη εισόδου Φυσικού Αερίου για ολόκληρη τη Νοτιοανατολική Ευρώπη. Σύμφωνα τα στοιχεία Σεπτεμβρίου 2022, η Ρεβυθούσα διαθέτει τρεις δεξαμενές χωρητικότητας 225.000 κ.μ. και μία πλωτή δεξαμενή χωρητικότητας 145.000 κ.μ.
