Learn about coffee farming in a beautiful setting at a cooperative that employs many families from the area. We had no idea how interesting this tour would be and ended up spending far more time than we expected learning all about the plants, the beans, the processing, and the sustainability of the farm. Plus trying excellent coffee produced by different methods. (Have one with a cardamom muffin on the side! The farm is experimenting with adding cardamom, here in the coffee-cocoa-cardamom producing area...

Went here on a drizzly day. Took a 15 min bus ride from Cobán (1.50 gtq) Driver's assistant said last bus back was 3pm. Make sure to tell them your going to the coffee tour The employees were attentive. Umbrellas are available if you need one. The tour (75 gtq) lasted just over an hour. Our guide was super informative, patient and regularly checked to see if we had any questions. Best part was the coffee tasting at the end and the coffee...

Excellent tour in English. Learned lots about coffee from bean to grind ( variety’s , growing, picking , drying , export , etc) And tasting at the end. 75q each. We didn’t do the Zipline No need to book just take a taxi there.

Pay no more than 50q from Plaza Magdalena. We paid 80 as we didn’t know .. Taxi driver first said 100… Remember this is Guatemala. So don’t overpay or you spoil it for everyone .. locals and...

Great stop on the way up to Semuc Champey! We loved our tour of the coffee farm and enjoyed tasting the coffee after too. The history of the farm which started with Germans who then left during the war was an interesting story as well. Highly recommend coming to visit to support the coffee farmer co-op community directly and to learn about one of the world’s favourite drinks!
