Tikal Expedition — Local services in Flores

Tikal Expedition provided us will an exceptional experience. They arranged our helicopter to El Mirador and a private tour/driver and guide for me to Yaxsha the same day. The service and professionalism was first class.

Our local guide at El Mirador was a big highlight of my experience in Guatemala. Oliver aka Condorito, is simply amazing. His knowledge, passion and experience is second to none. I enjoyed this experience so much that I am planning a trip back to Guatemala in December to do a 3 day treck through the jungle with him. I hope to learn as much as possible from him during this time.

I will definitely be back to Guatemala soon and will be using Tikal Expedition for another 3 tours at least. Book...

We took the transport from Palenque to Flores with them, which was well organised. I am deducting points because we were in the same van as people who booked with another provider at a significantly lower rate for the same service.

The transportation itself though was comfortable, safe and they had the driver walk through the border with us, so we always had someone with us.

I booked a 5-day trekking tour to "el mirador" with Tikal Expedition. The tour was great! What I didn't know, however, was that "Tikal Expedition" doesn't run the tour itself, but sells the tour for the Carmelita agency and takes a commission of around 60-70$ for it. This was never communicated transparently. I therefore cannot recommend this agency and would always book directly...
