I arrived to MYF as a traveler trying to find his way, feeling stuck in a meaningless life in modern society, feeling like I didn’t belong anywhere, feeling like an outcast, afraid to show my authentic self to the world…. And after immersing myself at MYF, I stepped into my power, my gifts, and my purpose in life! I blossomed through my self-expression and in my communication. I truly tapped into feeling worthy, liberated, loved, and accepted!

MYF creates a safe, non-judgmental, accepting space for you to explore your authentic expression, to reconnect with who you are… through song circles, fire ceremonies, temezcals (saunas), sound healings, ecstatic dances, yoga, meditation, breathwork, this is the space for you to transform yourself! And not to mention the most EPICCC vegan food, the views of the lake & volcanoes, being so close to nature, living in COMMUNITY, being a zero-waste retreat center, and how the beautiful relationship MYF has with the local indigenous community!

The Place is really cosy, detailed decorated and has some nice yoga places, sound dome, tea house and a fire place. The vegan food is very delicious, which is prepared by some local guys. The locals there are so friendly. We stayed there for three nights and I would not recommend to stay there. There are people living for month or years. Coming there for 3 days felt like being strangers in a community that was not open at all. It’s paradox as this community is supposed to emphasize being open minded, heart opening and welcoming. Besides three people, no one cared at all about us. Especially the volunteers who lead the activities like yoga and chacra dancing were not welcoming us as new people in their Circle. The owner did not care at all. So sad, because this place is all about the vibe, Community and positivity but we did not felt it. After questioning ourselves about the situation we also talked with other daily visitors there and they felt exactly the same. With this high room charge, It feels more like we would finance the System. For this price the sleeping conditions is very low. Beautiful place, some nice people but no...

I love Mystical Yoga Farm sooo much! I came to Guatemala looking for a yoga retreat at Lake Atitlan found so much more at this community. My top 3 favorite things about this place are: 1) Being surrounded by breathtaking nature and the stillness/quiet of this secluded part of the lake. 2) The amazing container created for expressing yourself through singing, music, dance and play. 3) The beautiful connections and friendships I made with other community members, the Mystical farmily extends far and wide and I continue meet amazing beings through my connections made at the farm. Originally I spent a week here as a guest and liked it so much that I came back to volunteer for a month in their karma yogi program. Since then I have returned for their annual HeartSong festival and even hosted my own yoga retreat in Guatemala at the farm. This space has been incredibly impactful in my journey as a yoga teacher and medicine musician. Spending time in nature and around the creativity at the farm inspired me to share my voice even more and start writing my own songs. I am forever grateful for my experiences here and will continue...
