Stunning combination of nature and architecture. The causeway/bridge in its current form was built by German POW's after the end of the German occupation of the Channel Islands. The location on the thin Arete linking Greater Sark to Little Sark is just sublime on a sunny day with the crystal clear waters lapping at the foot of the cliffs on either side. Even on a grey day you can't fail to be impressed with the scenic beauty of the place. Best enjoyed on a clear winter's day when there is nobody...
Read moreDon't believe the tourist pictures which i show first! It is very small and wide angles lenses appear to be used to make it look masive. 3-4 mins to cross maximum. Also very badly written sign saying it was built by German POWS. It could be just that or (talking to a Guernsey person) British POW that were German. I think the latter as the Germans were forced to surrender...
