Wenckheim kripta és kápolna — Local services in Békéscsabai járás

The chapel was built by Antal József Wenckheim in 1844 based on the plans of Antal Czigler. The chapel also includes the triumphal arch that was built for the imperial visit in 1857. Emperor Franz Joseph and his wife Queen Elisabeth rested in Ókígyós on their way to Orosháza, and Krisztina Wenckheim, who was still a little girl at the time, greeted the royal couple with a poem. A mesterséges dombon álló kápolnát Wenckheim József Antal építtette 1844-ben. Terveit ifj. Czigler Antal készítette. A templom klasszicista stílusú, egyhajós, homlokzati toronnyal, egyenes záródású szentéllyel épült.
