A múlt kis szeletét megismerni mindig jó dolog. Könnyen megközelíthetõ, nagyon rendezett a környezete is. Nagyon ajánlom mindenkinek. Ein kleines Stück Vergangenheit kennenzulernen ist immer eine gute Sache. Es ist leicht zugänglich und die Umgebung ist sehr aufgeräumt. Ich kann es jedem wärmstens empfehlen.

A Balaton-felvidék egyik legszebb ipartörténeti emléke a hangulatos, máig működőképes örvényesi vízimalom. Ezen a helyen már 1055-ben működött vízimalom, ami a tihanyi bencések tulajdonában volt. A ma látható épületet 1748-ban építették a Pécsely-patak partjára. A tárlatvezető viccelődve vezeti be a látogatókat és gyerekeket a molnárélet teendőibe, érthetően elmagyarázza és bemutatja a vízimalom működését. Gyönyörűen karbantartott, gondozott udvar, épületek. Kellemes és tanulságos, akár nosztalgiázó kis...

Az örvényesi vízimalom vendégházunkkal szemben helyezkedik el. Az elsők között ajánljuk házvendégeinknek, amit nagy örömünkre el is fogadnak és meglátogatják Imre bácsit aki szívesen fogadja a betérőket. A malomkerék forgása gyönyörű, az 5-ös és 6-os szoba teraszáról hallani lehet a víz csobogását.. Bámulatos.. Lassan ezer éves! Mindenképpen...
