Last year when the ticket registration for Ozora 2023 started, me and my friend Alex immediately registered. From July 31st to August 6th was the program. We booked a direct bus going to the Ozora festival from Paris. It was almost 24-28 hours journey. Bus ride was fun, everyone was really friendly.
We started from Paris by 28th July and reached Ozora by next day afternoon. We already bought tents, sleeping bags and all other essentials for camping. Once we reached we registered and got our wristbands and Map. We chose a nice spot for camping by looking on the map. After setting up the tent we went for a walk and got an overall idea of the place. From 29th July, at 16:00 onwards they started playing Music in one stage called PUMPI. So we were spending most of our time there. 31st evening at 20:00 was the opening ceremony. Almost all the people were gathered around the main stage and waited for the bonfire to lit. After 30 minutes of various performances by dancers and jugglers, four men on horses came and light the bonfire. After that people rushed to the mainstage. Me and Alex was standing at the top of a hill watching all this 😄 one of the best experience in Ozora I had. Later we went in and danced our heart out.
People were camping around the main stage & inside as well. There were lot of hammocks around everywhere. If I was too tired to dance then I find a hammock and enjoy the music from there. We only went to the tents for sleeping some days we didn’t even go, we slept outside in the grass. Also the lake was so beautiful, we went for swimming in the morning.
In Ozora there were different places for different activities other than music. There was Cooking Grove where you can cook. Healion stage for Healing, massage. Fairy garden for gardening awareness. Chambok House for lectures and discussions. If you’re too tired there is Haven for rest.
I think in India we have a lot of religious festivals and gatherings. In Europe it’s similar to that there’s music festivals. People from different countries are coming with whole family, setting up a camp and enjoying the event to the fullest.
There's a writing on the entrance 'Welcome to paradise' when I saw it first I thought it was just a writing. But now I know it's 100% true. For a week I was in paradise, I don't have to worry about anything. I was just enjoying myself to the fullest. Grateful for this...
Read moreAlthough the main stage has great headliners, the overall festival vibe wasn’t for me. It lacked sweetness, love, and creative flair. The location is underwhelming with limited places to relax or to escape to. There is a small dam which quickly turns into a septic tank. Other than dancing the few workshops offered are limited. The sound system was also poorly adjusted with minimal lighting at night. The chill stage was tiny and had nowhere to chill on. Trash was everywhere with glass on the dance floor and no recycling system whatsoever. No reusable or paper cup. Food options very limited and expensive imo. To be honest, I’m surprised by the low level of production given the festival's size, price, and longevity. It seems like the organisers are just trying to milk as much as they can and generally don't seem to care... other than getting the...
