It's a weird spa, with even weirder pricing. It is divided in two by a fence, with rather distorted pricing. It is not worth buying a ticket for the outer part separately, you get third of the experience for two thirds of the total price. With a full ticket, a family should expect to spend around HUF 20,000 + food and drinks per day, and for that money you can't even go home during the day and come back in the afternoon (which a family with small children may have countless reasons for). To exit, you have to buy "exit tickets", which is the joke of the century. I understand that some people would try to abuse wristbands taken out of the trash, but there must be another (and free) way to reenter for those who have valid tickets. For example it should be possible to go back by presenting the invoice received in the morning together with the tickets. Those who want to trick the system will not find a bill next to a used wristband in the trash. Entry is a mess, with a two-step system with two queues: a paper-based ticket and then a wristband after queueing up a second time. The place only opens at ten AM, which is quite late for a beach. On the other hand, the thermal bath closes at six PM (in the summer!), which is quite early. Talking to the locals the general opinion turns out to be that the place is managed quite poorly, abusing the reputation of the place - it gets full anyway, every day. They are eating up this reputation now,...
Read moreFrom the moment you arrive at the door, the lack of information and signs is annoying. You simply cannot know where to go and how to reach the main door because there is no sign showing the way to the entrance. The thermal bath is good, but is very expensive and you should pay for any extra thing such as getting a massage or getting food even though the ticket price is high enough to cover that. The price is also high for students who usually benefit from a 50% reduction almost anywhere, but here it is not the case. Last but not least, the receptionists were very rude and unfriendly. They wanted to charge us 1900HUF for using a locker when buying tickts saying that the amount is a deposit, but then the woman said she will only give back 1000HUF because the other 900HUF is an unrefundable use cost, WHICH IS PURE EXPLOITATION. There were two women who were horrible. They cannot speak English even though there are many foreigners who go to this thermal bath, but that is not the issue as manh people try to help you even though they cannot perfectly communicate. However, these two were extra mean!! When they did not understand our question, they started talking in Hungarian and mocking us, WHICH IS VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. There were a few people who were nice though and I should not deny that, but overall, the experience was not the greatest and I would not...

Many cafes, delicious food at normal prices. Water town for children. You can pay by card everywhere.
