Collinpur Beach, also known as "Sunset Bay," is a secluded and tranquil destination located approximately 30-35 km from Port Blair in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Renowned for its serene environment, the beach features cobalt-blue waters and smooth sands along a U-shaped shoreline, surrounded by dense tropical forests and towering palm plantations. The picturesque setting is further enhanced by rocky outcrops along the shore, making it a haven for photographers and nature enthusiasts. Visitors often praise the beach's clean and well-maintained surroundings, making it an inviting spot for families and individuals seeking a quiet retreat. However, swimming is not recommended due to the presence of saltwater crocodiles in the area. Despite this, the shallow waters are ideal for wading, and the beach serves as an excellent picnic location. The absence of commercial tourism ensures that Collinpur Beach retains its natural charm, appealing to those seeking peace and solitude. The beach is easily accessible via well-maintained roads from Port Blair. To reach Collinpur Beach, one can take a taxi, rent a private vehicle, or hire a bike for the journey. The route passes through lush greenery, making the journey both peaceful and picturesque. As the sun sets, Collinpur transforms into "Sunset Bay," offering one of the most spectacular sunset views in the region. This, combined with its untouched beauty and tranquil environment, makes Collinpur Beach a must-visit for those looking to unwind and connect with nature. The forests of Shoal bay are rich in Andaman pit vipers, and other venomous snakes. Domesticated elephants of the islands are also allowed to roam around the forests during specific days of the week. So in conclusion, reach early, spend 2 to 3 hours, head back...
