Collinpur Beach, also known as "Sunset Bay," is a secluded and tranquil destination located approximately 30-35 km from Port Blair in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Renowned for its serene environment, the beach features cobalt-blue waters and smooth sands along a U-shaped shoreline, surrounded by dense tropical forests and towering palm plantations. The picturesque setting is further enhanced by rocky outcrops along the shore, making it a haven for photographers and nature enthusiasts. Visitors often praise the beach's clean and well-maintained surroundings, making it an inviting spot for families and individuals seeking a quiet retreat. However, swimming is not recommended due to the presence of saltwater crocodiles in the area. Despite this, the shallow waters are ideal for wading, and the beach serves as an excellent picnic location. The absence of commercial tourism ensures that Collinpur Beach retains its natural charm, appealing to those seeking peace and solitude. The beach is easily accessible via well-maintained roads from Port Blair. To reach Collinpur Beach, one can take a taxi, rent a private vehicle, or hire a bike for the journey. The route passes through lush greenery, making the journey both peaceful and picturesque. As the sun sets, Collinpur transforms into "Sunset Bay," offering one of the most spectacular sunset views in the region. This, combined with its untouched beauty and tranquil environment, makes Collinpur Beach a must-visit for those looking to unwind and connect with nature. For a visual glimpse of Collinpur Beach, you might find this...

One of the most beautiful and secluded beaches of South Andaman. Not known to many tourists. Very good place to relax and do picnics. Better to come here by personal vehicles, mostly bikes. The roads are not the best and its not very motorable either. Also, if you are coming from Port Blair, start early preferably early morning 5:30 to reach the beach by 11: 30. Don't forget to carry enough snacks and water. Also head back early from the beach as the routes back to main road can become troublesome after sunset. The forests of Shoal bay are rich in Andaman pit vipers, and other venomous snakes. Domesticated elephants of the islands are also allowed to roam around the forests during specific days of the week. So in conclusion, reach early, spend 2 to 3 hours, head back...

Would have given 5 stars if the roads were good. Could become a popular tourist attraction if the roads are maintained. Away from the city and as of March 2021, the condition of the roads from Wimberleygunj is pathetic. The kaccha road was being upgraded to a pakka road but due to that vehicles aren't allowed till the very end. Had to walk 30 minutes and trek through the forest for another 30 minutes. The beach is super clean. The waves are calm. Can go for a swim if proper safety net is provided by the authorities. Definitely going to visit again once the condition of the road improves.

This is what a hidden gem truly means. One can get into the beach through a beautiful boat ride through the lush green mangrove forests, by walking on the beautifully crafted wooden passage through the jungle or the oldest by walking route through the jungle. Beautiful beach almost ruined by careless picnic people . Local Panchayat must take some initiative to clean the garbage caused by ill mannered people who threw away the plastic garbage carelessly. Some dustbins can save this beach from ruining its beauty.
