It is mainly famous for the Panakala swamy temple located on a hill. Otherwise it's a very small town. The road leading to the temple is good. The views from the top of the hill are good. Mangalagiri Town is very famous for the Handloom weaving and Lord Narasimha Swamy Temple. The temple atop the hill is dedicated to Lord Panakala Narasimha Swamy. The fascinating feature of the temple is the 11 storeyed Gopuram, called “Gali Gopuram”. It is one of the temples in the series of three temples located on and at the bottom of the hill, the other two being Panakala Narasimha Temple on the hill and Gandala Narasimha Temple at the top of the hill. It has one of the highest gopurams in South India and only one of its type in this part of India.

It's a very good place for morning trekking .. a temple is situated in the valley..you can park your vehicle there and use the side staircase for trekking....seeing sun rise from here is a beautiful experience ..and if you are interest in photographs you can take there...there is a temple on the top..you can approach also by your vehicle through the other...
