Read moreShikaram means top of a mountain. Here on the top a small nandi is placed. All you have to do is to put some rice grains or til, or nine types of grains also known as 'nava dhanyalu' and rotate the nandi. Then through the nandi horns you should try to see the temple gopuram. If you can see then it is believed this is your last birth and you are relieved of all sins and attain moksha. If you cannot spot the gopuram then your cycle of birth and rebirth continues. It is also an excellent spot for hill top view of the entire surrounding. Due to covid19 as of now you cannot climb right up to the nandi. You can visit the temple and come down. You can either go by steps or by road upto the temple. Ample car parking space is available. You can buy snacks and tea, also there is a shop where you can do a lot of shopping like purchasing honey with cinnamon, just honey, perfumes, soaps, scented sticks, bathing oils and much more. While climbing the steps you can also buy a local berry known as 'parikaya' which tastes sweet and sour. Very tempting to the taste buds. Since it is forest area people leave before dark. You can only visit this place. No accommodation...
