Pangsau Pass or Pan Saung Pass, 3,727 feet in altitude, lies on the crest of the Patkai Hills on the India–Myanmar border. The pass offers one of the easiest routes into Burma from the Assam plains. It is named after the closest Burmese village, Pangsau, that lies 2 km beyond the pass to the east.

Actually we were on our way to Pangshu Pass International Festival which started on 21 January 2018. It is a three-day long festival organised every year at Nampong, a small village in Arunachal Pradesh to promote cultural heritage of the region. With folk songs, tribal dances and ethnic food the festival is a once-in-a-life-time experience. Distance of Pangsau Pass (Myanmar) from Nampong (Arunachal Pradesh) is only about three kilometer . In Myanmar, they accept Indian currency but prices of goods are exorbitant. But do not forget to carry your passport as it is required while you will be crossing the border. Very nice road. You need a special pass from the SDO, Nampong, Changlang to enter the Pangsau Pass in addition to the eILP. SDO Office remains closed on all official holidays. So, plan your trip on government working days only. You would love the picturesque roads, tea plantations on the hillocks and nature. From Nampong, you can go to Vijaynagar too, but only 15 kms of the road has tarmac up to Putak, rest are gravel or earthen roads. You can also go to Changlang, Khonsa and longding via NH215 to enjoy the finest hilly highways and foothills...

Its a place where you will feel very proud as an Indian. This place is protected by military and photography is prohibited in the military area. Nobody is allowed ahead without a valid permit and and escort. Once we were done with the formalities the military escort took us to some lovely spots and did allow us to click pictures. People should visit once in that festival.... Bcz it feels like awsme whenever you visit please try to travel in car, not bikes..... If u are a rider then u will not allow to take your bike inside myanmar border
