Seelampur Metro Station, located on the Red Line of Delhi Metro, is one of the busiest stations in East Delhi. The station was opened in 2002 and still plays a very important role in connecting daily commuters to different parts of Delhi. The structure is at ground level with proper platforms and basic facilities like parking, ATMs, and feeder bus services.

The connectivity is good as the station lies between Shastri Park and Welcome stations, making it a convenient point for people traveling to Shahdara, ISBT, Kashmiri Gate, or towards Ghaziabad side. The frequency of trains is also decent, usually every 3–5 minutes depending on peak or off-peak hours.

Around the station, there are several busy local markets such as Seelampur Market, Jafrabad Market, and Gandhi Nagar Market which are famous for clothes, fabrics, footwear, and electronics at budget-friendly prices. For tourists, major attractions like Red Fort, Jama Masjid, and Connaught Place are also within a few kilometers.

On the downside, the surroundings can feel overcrowded, chaotic, and less safe during late hours. Inside the station, cleanliness and security are maintained, but outside areas need better traffic management.

Overall, Seelampur Metro Station is a functional and important travel point, especially useful for market shoppers and daily commuters, though first-time visitors should be cautious about the heavy rush and...

This station is on the road and near by Gandhi Nagar Market Local Area: Consider the local area around the metro station. Are there markets, shops, restaurants, or other facilities that you may need during your travels? Remember that conditions and experiences can change over time, so it's a good idea to check for any updates or changes related to the seelam pur Metro Station and the Delhi Metro system since my last knowledge update. You can consult official sources, such as the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) website or relevant mobile apps, for the latest information on routes, timings, and...

First stand in que for 10-15 minutes just to enter in metro station .. once you done security check you have to stand in que for more 5 minutes to enter in platform .. after reaching platform no 1 you will keep getting 4 coaches crowded metros for a time .. and it may take 15-30 minutes to catch a metro for kashmere gate ..

This is a common situation i often face in seelmapur metro .. 6 coaches metros are not frequent

So much troubling.... i use to get late for office...
