Mahal village is 24 km away from Ahwa. And 1.5km away from mahal village. This forest area declared protected forest for animal safety by forest department. Various kinds of animal live including tiger as well, It’s a nice place for tourist where facility of tree house, campfire, huts available for accomdation, Which is managed by forest department.
Mahal Eco Camp site managed by the forest department with the help of local community. Online booking can be done through site mahalcampsite.
Situated around 3 km from small village called mahal on Bardipada-Aahwa main road. Camp is on the banks of the river Purna and surrounded by Purna wildlife sanctuary.
Three category of rooms are available for tourist to stay are Dangi Huts, Log Huts, Suits.
Location is superb. However lack of proper cleanliness is a major issue. The electricity situation seems pretty irregular. Rooms are basic and do not expect any luxury amenities.
Consider it as forest eco tourism. Go only if you are nature enthusiastic and love to stay in the lap of nature with basic facility.
One can take the activity like trekking inside forest and river side picnic.

There is a restaurant inside the campsite which serve basic food but with prior order.
Best time to visit would be August to February.
The Mahal Eco Campsite is bestowed with rivers and bamboo glides, with excellent walking and trekking options.
