Leopard Trail, Gurugram â A Slice of Nature and a Bit of Chaos
Visited Leopard Trail recently â and itâs quite a mixed bag, in a good way. The morning vibe is peaceful and refreshing. If you reach by 6 or 7 a.m., youâll find misty air, birds, and a quiet trail cutting through the Aravallis. Perfect for a walk, short hike, or just to sit with chai and watch the sun come up. The air actually feels cleaner here! But the road leading in is a bit bumpy, so go slow.
By evening, the scene flips â it turns into a mini party zone. CafĂ©s light up with music, fairy lights, and crowds. Itâs fun if youâre with friends, maybe less so if youâre looking for peace. Sunset views are worth it though â golden light on the hills makes for great photos. A few cafĂ©s like Throttle Shrottle and Cafe Soul Garden serve good food and add to the vibe.
Things to do: morning walk, photography, cafĂ© hopping, or just a scenic drive. Tips: avoid late nights if youâre alone, and donât expect actual leopards â just city folks...

There are some shortcuts for those who wish to take challenging ways to the top. Whether you take the easy path or challenging shortcuts, make sure you wear good sports shoes with grip, else you risk falls because the path while simple is stony and can be slippery.
Thankfully there's not much litter. A good time to visit is early mornings as it can get quite hot in the day.
Lots of food trucks at the bottom, mainly offering some varieties of Maggi, sandwiches, tea, coffee and soft drinks. There are some basic restaurants nearby. On weekends the food trucks are available from early morning.
There is also a lake nearby with some private boats. Quite a few trail bikers come to ride their bikes on the dunes on the banks of this lake. Just around 8-9 kms...

There are few restaurants interspersed here and there with decent food but which seemed overpriced for a place like this. Perhaps itâs a good getaway for youngsters to go to during the weekend. Liquor is not served in the restaurants. But you can buy yours from a store located there. You have to pay âč300 table charges to drink it in a restaurant. At least thatâs what we were told at Desi Thaat. There is paramotoring which didnât seem functional during the week when we went. Few ponds here and there masquerading as lakes. A one time visit...
