During 1994-2000 my service at Spiti as a civil engineer, aria of operation from Kunjam Pass to Samdo, me went through Chandra Bhaga basin, chhota Shigri glacier glacial storm covered huge boulders across river between Chhota Dara and Chhatru, we discussed that huge amount of mud debris flowing through river tributaries, harmful to glaciers footing,,,it should protect by some media like check dams, govt. spent sufficient budget year by years, but no...
