The Dharon ki Dhar Fort is also known as Jung Bahadur Thapa Fort. It has been built around 200 years ago (as per folklore in one night). The fort is small and more likely was a border and communication outpost. It has got a good all round view. It was also used to keep surveillance of the plains (of which it has got good view)direction from which the attacking British Forces would come. The Fort is a nice culmination for a trek. One though would need a local guide as the trails are not marked. But do keep cleanliness and littering in mind while visiting the Fort.

Read moreSituated on a hilltop. It's a little 56 chambers fort. No sign board there depicting the history of the fort.
A 1km trail leads you there. Moderate hike on first half & steep on second half. Carrying a walking stick is recommend. Park your car or bike near water tank. Dont go ahead of this stop, there's a another trail which goes through the jungle. If you don't know that trail, don't use it, you will be lost in jungle.
Just opposite the water tank, a 45' wide man made track with stones side support is clearly visible , start following that track.
