It is located near dharamkot, MacLeodganj, Dharamshala, himachal pradesh, India

Triund trek is one of the shortest and simplest Himalayan treks, offering breathtaking scenery and a magnificent vista of the snow-capped Dhauladhar peaks and Kangra valley. This two-day hike may easily be completed over the weekend. The Triund trek allows us to experience the Himalayas' beauty and tranquility. Although this trek is brief, it will provide you with a sense of adventure due to the trail's steepness at times.

Views of the whole Dhauladhar range, as well as the huge, lush green meadows, provide a dreamlike experience that draws countless trekkers searching for a moderate-to-easy weekend trek. The 18-kilometer trek begins at Dharamkot and is marked by a well-defined track. If this is your first time trekking, it is recommended that you hire a guide/tour operator because the routes pass through dense woods of rhododendron and deodar, which, despite their beauty, may be a little confusing. The trek takes a maximum of six hours, depending on your pace, and there is a large flat space where you may pitch a tent and acclimate if you plan to go higher.

The beautiful Dhauladhar range may be seen towering over the area from the summit of Triund Hill. If you want to see snow, go in January, and if you want to see stunning and clear views of the huge forest and mountain ranges, go in March-May. It's roughly a half-hour drive from Dharamsala.

Best Triund Trek Time : It is open every day of the year. The months of May to June and September to December are ideal for planning a trip to Triund. The mood is always pleasant, however, it might grow chili in the evenings. The months of spring and summer are said to be the best for experiencing Triund's brilliance.Winters are a good time to come if you want a chilly and brisk experience. Winters are bitterly cold in this part of the world. The journey, on the other hand, will be less crowded. You should avoid walking here during the monsoon season (June and July), as the area sees a lot of rain. The first snowfall on the route is expected in December.

Start and End Point of the Triund trek: Mcleodganj

I visited Triund & Snow Line Trail with our campus friends, we were a large group of 30+ people in tracking journey and while tracking we enjoy it a lot. We started our walk from Dharamkot. When we were on our destiny and the view was also beautiful && OSM. To your right lies the Kangra valley and further south you can see the hazy plains of Punjab. Overall a great experience. It's the perfect level of trekking for someone with little trekking experience. Uphill takes around 5-6 hours and downhill for 2.5 hours approx. Fortunately quite clean and not littered by humans. Since the path is so narrow and way steep with a valley on one side, horses and vehicles are not found on the way. The view is astounding not just of the valley spread below but also snow-capped mountains ahead.
