Nisarga homestay Gokarna beach front — Local services in Karnataka

This place is located at the north beach of Gokarna. If you want solitude this is the place to go. The owner is friendly and the shack owner nearby is also very helpful.

This place has got two sets of rooms. The first set (where we stayed) comprises from two adjacent rooms sharing a common sit out. Each room has three queen beds; two on the main area and one on the loft. The staircases to the loft are quote steep. One bathroom in each room. The main beds are wrought iron with printed bedsheets. The loft bed is a simple roll bed. We found the rooms and beds to be quite clean.

They provide clean towel and liquid hand wash. The bathroom was clean with a small water heater. Overall very basic but quite clean and hygienic.

There were another set of rooms but I did not get to see them.

The sit out is unfinished. There is a medium sized compound where your pets can roam unleased.

The property is right on the beach and you can just walk into the beach anytime. But that also means that you will have a lot of sand getting into the room. There is a broom provided that can be used for cleaning.

The homestay does not provide any food or water. However, there is a shack next door and they have quite a good variety (both veg and non-veg). However, we found the good quality to be average. They sell beer and breezer. You can carry alcohol in the shack. The shack owners are pretty informal about it as long as you buy the food from them.

The homestay is far from the main beach, but is good place to stay if you have your own car.

If you are looking for sun, sand, sea and you have a pet, this is a great option if you don't mind the basic nature...

Nisarga Home Stay, a property located exactly in the front of the beach with beautiful mersmerising view where someone can sit in the premises and chill out however there are many drawbacks of this property which definitely will make someone think before booking this property, they hv in total 5 to 6 rooms out of which 2 rooms are duplex kind of, however those are non ac, these non ac rooms can accomodate 5 to 6 people at a time but it will make very uncomfortable while roaming in the room, also another drawback is that this property do not have a ceiling fan in the duplex room, only one wall fan is being fitted in one of the corner which not at all sufficient to cool any room, they have kept one small water cooler as well however it is also not worth, also if there is any electricity issue, they dnt have a back up, they do not have a food facility available, u hv to order your tea food from the cafe beside thier property, location no doubt is right front of the beach but this basic amenities which they dnt have makes the property not worth staying, because since it's a beach location u will feel the heat when u are in the room and this wall fan and water cooler do not satisfy your need, the property management shud definitely think upon this and work on the same, but yes location of property is...

We travelled as a family of four with a dog. We took two rooms with AC in them. First the good: Pet friendly. We had a dog with us. They provide parking, albeit a bit far from the rooms. Location. It is bang on the beach. Cons: The rooms are VERY basic. We had expected basic but this was more basic. The AC in room wasn't cooling enough during the day. And it gets very hot in the day during May. Do not take the non-ac room in Summers. The MCB switches used to trip often and we had to go and reset them ourselves. It would be nice for the owner to contact us sometime before and brief is on the property like where to park and how to find him. They don't provide drinking water which is a big bummer. We had to purchase a lot of water from the cafes that are in the neighborhood. One of the rooms we had taken had a hole in the roof. Thank God it didn't rain during our stay. Had to ask for some toiletries and towels when we checked in. They should've been placed there already.
