Illithodu — Local services in Kerala

Just visited the place this weekend (2-Jun-24)...nice place....would have been helpful if there were more direction boards.....but when we reached there it was beautiful (go for Mahaganythottam directly)...worth visiting with family....kids wud love it, esp the trekking thru forest, wildness and the river...it rained when we reached there, which made the place more beautiful..but beware, there's restricted area for bathing in river but it looked a bit dangerous....we couldnt bathe since the current was strong due to heavy rains and gaurds restricted not to get into water during rain......sad that this place is not getting good visibility as it should have recieved...Hope tourism department will do something about it....overall nice...

It's beautiful place nature friendly and you look averywere in filled with green leafs . There is large water canal . Canal situated In main road side, above from the road level , don't expect road assistance and mechanical help , keep your vehicle serviced and nearest petrol...

Just a simple shop which offers basic daily need items. You won't get redbull and other big...
