Posadi gumpe is 1060 ft ( above sea level) hill station in Kasaragod district. The nearest village of posadi gumpe is Paivalike and it is situated in Manjeswaram Taluk. There is 30 minutes trek to the hill top. The top of Posadi gumpe there is The renovated Great Trignometrical Station. The historical importance of the station is, it is one of the Oldest great trignometrical Station set by the first british surveyor in India, Sri william lambton during 1802 AD.

''Posadi Gumpe'' is a Tulu language word. ''posa'' means New and ''Gumpe'' means Hill.

We can get a view of Arabian sea , Manglore and Kudremukh from the top of Posadi Gumpe.and It is a best place for Photoshoot. The place is not well inhabited, there is no shops.the tourists who wished to trek the hill are requested to carry Water Along. It was sad to see plastic bags and bottles scattered all along the way so another request is that do not dump your waste like plastic bottles, plastic covers etc there. The protection of mother nature is our responsibility. Also remember that climbing down from the spot is difficult. There is no Sign Board or Entrance Counter, So you can use Google map or local people to get there. The best time to visit this place is in the early morning and evening.Posadigumbe offers tourists a 360...

Expect nothing massive; it's only a little hill, not a peak. Other than that, the monsoon and winter months have the ideal weather for seeing fog and feeling a little chilly in the early morning and late evening. It's only a 2-kilometer journey (both sides) for those who want to try out hiking. The hill's maximum elevation is about 350 metres, making it relatively short and simple for children to climb.

It's much simpler than you might imagine to get to the mountain's summit, which you can reach in 15 to 20 minutes. The view is not all that horrible from the hill's summit. From the highest elevation on one side, one can view the Arabian Sea and numerous other mountains, including Kudremukh in Karnataka.

For the hike or parking, there are no tickets or fees. Nice location for a picnic during the day. Carry a bottle of water instead. Although it is not necessary to bring food or water bottles on the journey, doing so is advised for everyone's security.

It is preferable to arrive before the sun...
