Visiting the Rippon tea factory was an enriching and refreshing experience. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by the pleasant aroma of fresh tea leaves. The tour began with a walk through the lush green tea gardens, where we learned about the different varieties of tea plants and the meticulous care they require.

Inside the factory, the process of tea production β€” from withering, rolling, fermenting, to drying β€” was explained in detail by a knowledgeable guide. Watching the machinery in action and understanding the traditional methods they still preserve was truly fascinating. The highlight was the tasting session at the end, where we sampled various types of tea, each with its own unique flavor profile.

The staff was welcoming, thank you so much Shinoj Sir for explaining in such a good way...and the factory was well-maintained and organized. I left with a deeper appreciation for the effort behind every cup of tea and even picked up some fresh tea to bring home.

Absolutely, especially for tea lovers and anyone curious about how everyday products...

Even now we can hear siron sound capitalism in this factory. At a distance of 7 km from Meppadi,18 km from Kalpetta and 28 km from Sulthan Bathery, Ripon Tea estate is a well-known tea estate situated near Meppadi town of Wayanad in Kerala. It is one of the popular places to visit in Wayanad and among the best tea estates in Wayanad region.

Perched at an altitude of nearly 2000 m, Ripon Tea Estate is spread over an area of 443 Hectares along the slopes of Wayanad Hills. There is also a tea factory built by the British in the 18th century. Ripon Tea Factory encapsulates the best qualities of CTC Teas. It produces three different types of Tea which include Dust, Leaf and Blended.

Visitors can see the entire processing method right from the freshly plucked green leaves to its packaging at the factory. The colonial factory and the lush tea plantation give a glimpse of not only the history but also on one of the most popular teas from the region. Factory visits and tea tasting can be organized with prior...

You Will Learn to Know How to Prepare Tea Powder ! Everyone sip tea but few know how tea powder is prepared. Tea Factory is best option to know about all stages of tea powder preparation. Tender leaves are the best to prepare tea powder, the same I find in the factory along with clear descriptive boards inside. How much cold is outside it will give you a warm experience inside. You can understand how to do grading for tea powders. I saw the seal packaging process also. Total ticket price is Rupees 100 per head complementary is tea is available after completion of visiting the factory. Good, fresh and original tea powders are available here. The great thing in this factory is no hurry when you are visiting it and you will learn all the process. This is the highest tea factory in south India. Parking facility is available. Never miss it in wayand Rippon tea factory . Guide Shinojetan is a good man who explained...

We visited Ripon Tea Factory in Mepadi, Wayanad and it was a unique experience. Though we have visited many in other places like Munnar, Assam etc, today's experience was very informative. Sri. Shinoj was our guide for the factory tour and he explained the whole process - from tea leaves plucking through the different stages until the final product is graded and packed. Though we have been tea drinkers for years, our appreciation for our beverage has increased triple fold after Sri. Shinoj's briefing and explanation. A big thank you to Shinoj of Ripon Tea!

The visit to Ripon Tea Factory was a memorable and insightful experience. Mr. Shinoj, our guide, did an excellent job explaining the entire tea-making process, from plucking the fresh leaves to processing them into fine tea powder. His in-depth knowledge and passion for tea production made the tour engaging and educational. We were able to see each stage of the tea manufacturing process, and Mr. Shinoj's clear and detailed explanations made it easy to understand. Overall, it was a fascinating visit, offering a great look into the art of tea-making.
