Bitangad is a small yet beautiful fort especially in Monsoon season. The forest dept has constructed iron staircase to ease the climb. There is a small cave just near the top. The top part is small and flat from where one can witnesd the scenic beauty of Kalsubai Range. Read moreAs hiker I really enjoyed hike, I have done more than 100 hikes over fort. This hike was distinctly memorable with night stay. First of all it has rare access, ST do not come to Village so you need your own vehicle. Once you reach base village next 1-1.5 km patch you can only travel by 4x4 or by walk. This will take you to last house at base of fort. Houses at base of fort do not have electricity. No wonder i enjoyed best of star gazing. Forest department has put up barricades along side edges on way to top. Also added shade on top. It takes 25-30 min hike to reach top. From top of fort many pinnacles can be spotted.
