Hello Enthusiasts
Its soo glad that you are reading this review. That means atleast back of your mind you have planned to summit Lingana. Going by the difficulty level- Difficulty is different for different people, so dont look for the reviews. Believe in yourself. We were a group of 14 people and the youngest one was 9years old. So if a 9 year old can summit, then why cant you. This trek is definitely not for beginners. First you should focus on building your endurance. Well for this trek you start with Village Mohari. we started from Pune at 2 pm and reached village at 6 pm. After having dinner we rested for some hours. Got up at 2 Am and started the trek at 3:30Am. its 45 mins walk to reach the start of boratachyi naal. Descending boratachyi naal will take 45 mins, you have to descend slowly coz of loose rocks. Then there is a traverse and from there you reach base of Lingana. This will take another 45mins. so by 6 Am you are at the base of Lingana. From there you have to start the ascent. There is a cave, once you cross 40 percent of Lingana. Some of Rock patches up to this level are a bit difficult but manageable. You reach the cave by 7:30am. Next 4 rock patches after the cave to summit are difficult. You reach the summit by 9:30. If you have the right endurance, then climbing till summit is never an issue. Make sure you go with right group amd right people(Have done all my treks with Team Explorers and there safety standards as well as equipment and management is very good). Even during winters, the temperature is on higher side coz this fort lies in the konkan belt. So it will be very hot in the noon and you ll sweat a lot. so it becomes tiring after summit. Its 1000 ft technical climb up till the summit. Then you rappel down 700 feet to get back to base of Lingana. Now you have to climb all the way up, back to village Mohari. Its totally uphill and so its very tiring to get back to the village.
So enthusiasts, dont look at the difficulty level- just a tight mindset and endurance is enough for...
