Debakund is a hidden gem located in the heart of Odisha, surrounded by lush green forests and scenic waterfalls. The trek to Debakund is a bit challenging, but the mesmerizing views along the way make it worth the effort. The waterfall at Debakund is a sight to behold, with crystal clear water cascading down from a height. The serene atmosphere of the place is perfect for nature lovers and adventure enthusiasts alike. While the location of Debakund may not be easily accessible by public transport, it is definitely worth the journey for those who want to escape the hustle and bustle of city life and immerse themselves in the beauty of nature.

A place worth visiting. Little bit of trekking through the jungle took us near to a lovely waterfall. A small lake is formed .It is known as debakunda. The water then overflow through the opposite end of the kunda, into the jungle to form a tiny mountain river. A temple is build just beside the top end of the waterfall. To reach the temple, one need to climb nearly half a kilometre through concrete steps. As a whole, a nice experience. But there is a big disappointment. Though the temple is well within the Simlipal national forest, there is no check or consciousness of making the place plastic free. Every where plastic bottles, silver foil food packets were thrown by many irresponsible visitors. It should have been stopped by the...

The road is quite good but there are no food stalls or water dispensers present so carry your own food and water bottles. And my request to everyone is to not litter the surroundings. This place is a devotional place for hindus. And just beside the kund a steep flight of stairs leads to a temple which is located on the hill top. The place is absolutely beautiful in monsoon season and bathing is prohibited so don't venture into the kund as sudden water may gush out and lead...
