Band Baretha Band Baretha India is renowned in the whole world for its diversity of its historical, cultural, social, geography, language and costumes etc; this is why tourists prefer to come to India more than other countries. Two-thirds of tourists definitely come to Rajasthan who visits India because if any of the place in India who treasure immense diversity in itself like stars in the sky is “Rajasthan”. Rajasthan is truly one of the most sought after tourist destinations in world cause variety of historical, cultural, social, geographic, language, costume etc is highest. Jaipur, Jodhpur, Jaisalmer, Udaipur, Chittorgarh and Ajmer are the districts in the Rajasthan that have a specific place in the heritage and historical perspective, But Bharatpur has not found that place yet which is really worth. There are a number of tourist spots very near to Bharatpur. One of the famous places that draw tourists are ‘Band Baretha‘ located in the Bayana Tehsil of Bharatpur. An Introduction Band Baretha is situated in the Bayana Tehsil of Bharatpur district of Rajasthan. Erstwhile, it was one of the major cities of the state of Bharatpur. In the Mughal Empire, the Band Baretha were known by names such as Shreepast and Shri Prasastha. Band Baretha is 74 km from Fatehpur Sikri, 187 km from the Pink City Jaipur and While 44 km from the headquarters of Bharatpur district and Only 9 km from the Bayana deputy headquarters away. Band Baretha village is situated on about 549 hectares of land. Shree Krishna birth land Mathura is 80 km far away. This dam is built on the Kukand River. It was constructed by Maharaja Ram Singh in 1887, whereas its foundation was laid in 1866 by Maharaja Jaswant Singh. About 10 years ago, Water harvesting has begun from the bridge then the gate was opened of Bandh. This is largest dam of Bharatpur with a fill capacity of 29 feet. Many parts of Bharatpur district drinking water is supplied from this dam, along with supplied in many villages.

In this reserve, tourists can witness some spectacular wildlife species, such as leopard, chital, sambhar, blue bull, wild boar and hyena In addition, this wildlife reserve is home to about 200 rare varieties of birds. In the reserve, lies a dam that is built over the Kakund River. The construction of this dam was initiated in 1866, by Maharaja Jaswant Singh. However, the completion of the dam took place between 1897-88, during Maharaja Ram Singh's rule. The reserve also has an ancient palace that belongs to the royal family of Bharatpur.
