I read very few reviews about Ralong Monastry. When I was in Ravangla in last February, then I thought to give it a try. Ralong monastry is approximately 6 kms away from Ravangla town and it will take around 20-25 mins to reach the place. Throughout the journey from ravangla to ralong was very scenic and if you are lucky enough , then you can get the glimpses of few rare himalayan birds. Serene surroundings with mesmerizing view of himalayan range, cool breeze and chirping sounds of various himalayan birds made us spellbound. When we reached there, prayer was going on in the monastry. Sunny day with a bright view of kanchenjungha and the prayer performed together by around 100 buddhist monks helped me to reach to the stage of self-actualisation. I just wished to be there for few days, but they don't have any option for common people to stay over there. There is hostels for the students who are learning buddhism. Although there are few homestays in nearby locations, still the number is quite less compare to Ravangla. So if you want to stay there, please be sure that you have booked your accomodation well in advance. Borong-Polok village homestay is a good option to stay in Ralong. If you are in Ravangla, then it is a must...

Read more🌟 One of the best monasteries in Sikkim! The monastery is peaceful, beautifully maintained, and surrounded by lush greenery. Both the inner prayer hall and the outer premises are clean and spacious. The location is absolutely picturesque — a must-visit if you're nearby. It's also quite close to Buddha Park.
🛣️ However, do note that the last 800 meters of the approach road are in poor condition, especially during the rains. If you're on a two-wheeler, it’s best to avoid that stretch — a taxi is a safer option.
🍽️ There’s also a nice canteen on-site where you can get good food and buy small souvenirs or essentials. The whole place offers a calm vibe and is perfect for a short spiritual or...
