Borong and Ralong hot water springs are located within a distance of 7 kms from each other. Popular with visitors from all over the region, these natural spas are said to have strong curative powers. Ralang Cha-chu can be reached after an hour long walk from Ralong monastery while Borang Cha-chu is reached after a 7 km drive to Ralong and then a 40 min walk downhill. For overnight stay temporary huts are available but you have to carry your own bedding and cooking utensils. Sikkim has many hot springs known for their therapeutic value. High in Sulphur content, the waters are believed to have great medicinal properties with the average temperature of the water in these hot springs close to 50c.

This place has naturally built hot springs open during winters. The bath is free but you have to pay for the stays and foods. It is a must visit place with your family and friends. The river water is pristine and there will be the sour smell of sulphur in and around hot springs which is natural. The water cures all sorts of physical pain and it's the only reason; people from the places like Nepal and Bhutan flocks over.

The place is good for a short trek. There are steps in almost the entire route. The destination is very picturesque. It will take 2-3hrs to complete the trek.

The treck is bit tricky as after a certain point there are stairs, which have broken over time. Not suggested to go during rainy season. The hot spring is a small pool of water at around 40 deg cel. The place is used for worship activity by locals hence expect people and broken temporary sheds and garbage. The place is very...
