Marlimund lake — Local services in Tamil Nadu

Great place to explore. It's within walking distance from Adam's Fountain/Charing Cross (around 4.5 km). Take the right for Snowdon Road once you reach St. Stephen's Church. From there, head for Pudumund Police Station. The lake is around half a km from there. There is hardly anyone around so you can find paths that circle the lake, but locals might stop you. There were some men fishing there and they told me that a tiger had been spotted, so I should not venture too far down the paths around the lake. This is a small lake that falls on the way from Masinagudi towards Ooty, after you have covered the 36 hairpin bend road. You can just halt here for 5-10 mins, relax a bit, grab a few pics, admire the beauty of nature and resume your drive. The road here is a bit congested, so make sure you don't park your car blocking the road way. There's usually a lot of rush in the weekends from tourists travelling to Ooty.
