Tedious three hours bus journey to reach the top of western ghats where dam is situated...Hardly two mts wide road with gutters and steep gradient and dangerous hairpin curves...Forests, bush covered roads,tea estates are seen frequently..... A little cooler on the uphill....someone named it mini moonnar since there are some resemblences with the famous hillstation Moonnar......Any how good drivers and dared tourists are coming in their cars ...Only two buses from Papanasm, one staring at 8.00AM and returns at 3 .P.M.the 2nd starts at 3.00 PM.which returns at 9.00 P.M.No hotels and towns on the way...No...
