Dhakuri Pass — Local services in Uttarakhand

Well It is 2023. I am restoring old photos of our time in India - Nepal back in 1987. My wife and I are from Australia. We spent six months in The Himalaya - Uttar Pradesh, Kashmir, Eastern Nepal, Tibet. Whilst in the Kumoan and Garwal regions we trekked Pindari and Kafni Glaciers, Hemkund and Vally of Flowers, all wonderful places. For the whole of our time in the Indian Himalaya we did not meet any foreigners, so it was such a delight to meet Indian trekkers. Some of our fondest memories of this time. The welcome we received was friendly and this we will never forget. Maybe one day we will return. Love your mountain...

Must visit! It's only 4 hours from Bageshwar. You'll have to do a little off-roading for about 2 hrs.

It's absolutely serene,easy hiking to reach Dhakudi TRH. You can trek for a couple of extra Kms to Visit Chilta Mata Temple.🙏

Trek to Pindari glacier begins from here. Last place where vehicles can be parked. I'd suggest you park your vehicles at Bageshwar and hire a local taxi upto here early morning. Roads can be very troubling for cars....
