Gekko Tubing Bali — Local services in Bali

Endless waiting, endless phototaking . No fun. (2,5 hours waiting, only 15 minutes driving tube)

Booked for 11. We where asked to reach at 10.50. We did. Then we needed to wait for 1.5 hours till 12.15 till the tour finally started.

The drive on the river itself is 15 minutes only. While you spend 1 hour there. 45 minutes of this one hour is just waiting-waiting-waiting for taking fotos.

The guides are freelancing and only earn money from the fotos. So they make around 100 photos of each (!) Person in each corner of this trail. Their focus is on photos and not on fun.

While the visitors need to wait-wait -wait.

After each curve, after each short way of 10 to 15 meters they stop ALL tubes over and over again. Each time you wait again around 10 minutes to continue. For the next 15 meters. Because then: THEY STOP ALL TUBES AGAIN.

So in total we had 15 minutes driving and 2,5 hours of waiting.

Absolut NO recommendotion for this.

Where is the time gone people do things for experience and not for photos.

WE absolutely CANNOT recommend Gekko tubing.

Pay your staff so they focus on a nice experience for the guests and not on the 10.000th photo.

Waste of time and money. Annoyed...

I want to start by saying the staff here and the guides were so so lovely and very funny but our overall experience was pretty low. We arrived for the 3pm tour (the last one of the day), paid and then were taken to the river where we had to wait nearly 45 minutes for the rest of the people to show up. There were not enough guides for the amount of people on the tour and it showed because literally all we did was wait at different parts of the river so the experience was not really enjoyable. We were also told we weren't allowed to bring photography equipment? and then charged extra for the photos and videos which were 5/10 quality. It's such a shame because I was SO excited to do this tubing and get some nice shots but if I was going to come again I would ask for 1 guide for my group so we could just go at our own pace and not have to wait so long for everyone else to catch up. I would also advise to bring your own phone (in a waterproof bag) or a gopro because the guides had way too many people to photograph and video and all the shots...

The biggest tourist scam in all of bali. I regret this tour most in my life. Have been few countries 5-6 countries in south east asia. This is the worst tour i have ever taken.

U have to arrive at their base camp. They only provide shuttle to starting point from their office, which is 3-4 mins. i can even walk that.

450k per person , u can go water park in that price. The ride is for kids no adventure at all. Trust me. They say 2 big rapids and 5 small ones. Which u will finish in 20 mins, 5 mins for first little waterfall and 10 mins for holy shower. And then 20-25 mina for just strolling in water without any rapids. All the money goes in their pocket. Very little money spent on food and transport. Like 30-40k max. This tour is pure business in the ugliest form.

The lady is straight up lying. I asked if the noodle comes with ayam, she said yes. And they didnt had chicken in noodle.
