Sorikmarapi is a highly vegetated stratovolcano on Sumatra island, Indonesia. It has a 600 m wide of crater lake at the summit and some sulfur deposits. A small parasitic crater, called Danau Merah, is found at the upper southeast flank of the mountain and several solfatara fields at the eastern flank.

Masya Allah.. pesona pemandangan yang sungguh indah. Gunung Sorik Marapi, salah satu gunung berapi aktif di wilayah Sumatera Utara. Tepatnya di Desa Ijuk, Sibanggor, Kabupaten Mandailing Natal. Ketinggiannya mencapai 2145 mdpl dan memiliki rute yang menantang. Teman-teman bisa menyewa jasa guide lokal yang biasanya adalah petani setempat untuk sampai ke puncak gunung. Perlu tetap waspada karena jalur pendakian kadang dilalui hewan liar. Salam lestari!
