Vihara Buddha Dharma & 8 Po Sat — Local services in Tajurhalang

The Buddhist Dharma & 8 Pho temple located on PWRI Street in Kampung Jati, Tonjong, Tajur Halang, Bogor, West Java is the only monastery in Bogor that has the largest Sleeping Buddha statue in Bogor. This statue has a length of 18 meters with a height of 5 meters.

This statue is an icon of this temple and many people visit to be able to see this huge statue directly.

Buddhists can also perform prayer rituals here in the huge prayer room and the ritual ends by praying beside the Sleeping Buddha statue.

In front of this statue, were placed some candle glasses, incense, orange fruit, and golden barrel on top of a long table, some sitting pads to sit in prayer are also placed nearby.

This temple is called Buddha Dharma & 8 Pho Sat (8 agreed Buddhist figures) was built in 2010 and was inaugurated in 2012.

Overall this monastery does look beautiful.

Entering from the front of the entrance was a beautiful flower relief on the wall and a graceful entrance gate.

Then when coming into the yard the visitors will be met by the stupa as can be seen in the temple like in the Borobudur Temple with a golden Buddha statue in it.

Furthermore, behind this stupa we can see the black wall with the relief of short journey of Siddartha Gautama's life to the enlightenment of being a Buddha. This relief were made in the gold color which is very contrasting with the color of the black wall so that it is easily seen and infused with the story.

Entering the courtyard behind this black wall, there are also relief on the wall painted in colors which also contain the Buddha's journey.

Near the large statue there is a big and multiple layers of shelves along the wall and a statue of the Goddess Kwan Im near him.

This large and long shelves contain hundreds of small Buddha statues that is affixed with a family name below each of them which descript the name of the family who has donated to a monastery and orphanage inside the monastery complex so that the name can be helped and prayed for during the...

Di Vihara Buddha & 8 Pho Sat di Kampung Jati, Desa Tonjong ini, terdapat patung Buddha Tidur yang berukuran sepanjang 18 meter dan setinggi 5 meter.
